The full-size sedan of the first generation Kia Cadenza, which replaced the Opirus / Amanti four-door in the model range of the South Korean manufacturer, made its world debut in December 2009 at the auto show in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and entered mass production in 2010.
Throughout the history of its existence, the car has been repeatedly modernized, and the updates affected not only the exterior and interior, but also the technical "stuffing" and the list of options, and lasted on the conveyor until 2016, after which it was replaced by a second generation model.
"Cadenza" of the original incarnation is the "player" of the E-class according to the European classification, and its dimensions are as follows: 4966 mm in length, 1476 mm in height and 1849 mm in width.
Between the axles of the car is a 2845 mm wheelbase, and under the "belly" there is a clearance of 137 mm.
In the "stowed" form, the weight of the three-volume unit ranges from 1525 to 1665 kg, depending on the modification.
Specifications. The first "release" of the Kia Cadenza was equipped with three gasoline "aspirated", each of which was mated with a 6-band "automatic" with a manual option for changing gears and a front-wheel drive transmission.
The sedan was equipped with in-line "four" and V-shaped "sixes" with a volume of 2.0-3.5 liters, developing 165-293 horsepower and 197-347 Nm of torque.
The first generation Cadenza is based on a Type-N front-wheel drive platform with a transversely mounted power unit in the engine compartment.
The car's suspension is completely independent: McPherson struts are used on the front axle, and a system on double transversely oriented levers (“spatial” configuration) is used on the rear axle.
This sedan is equipped with a hydraulic power assisted rack and pinion steering. And the "Korean" has disc brakes on all wheels: ventilated "pancakes" with a diameter of 300 mm are installed in front, and 264 mm devices at the back. In the "state" the four-door has ABS, EBD and other electronics.
On the Russian market, the "first" Kia Cadenza was not officially sold, but it is still found on our roads.
The car has a pleasant appearance, high-quality interior, comfortable suspension, powerful engines, decent equipment, good dynamic characteristics and other advantages.
The sedan is not devoid of negative aspects - high fuel consumption, not the best sound insulation and poor road holding.
