"Charged" small class hatches, popularly referred to as "mad stools", are in steady demand among European consumers, and for automakers they are also fashion models. So the company "Ford" in order to maintain its position has prepared for the countries of the Old World a limited version of the "charged" three-door "Fiesta" with the "ST200" index, which has become much more powerful and sporty than the "standard brother".
The public display of the novelty took place in March 2016 at the Geneva Bridal Show, and its sales in Europe started in June.
The exterior of the Ford Fiesta ST200 is not difficult to recognize - it is distinguished by a special body color "Storm Gray", a sports body kit, unique wheel rims measuring 17 inches, accommodating red brake calipers, and nameplates with the name of the version.
The 200th Fiesta is 3975 mm long, of which 2489 mm “occupies” the gap between the axles, its width is 1709 mm, and its height does not exceed 1456 mm. The ground clearance of the three-door is 125 mm when stowed.
The stylish and beautiful interior of the Ford Fiesta ST200 is distinguished by sporty touches such as leather front seats "Recaro" with a pronounced side profile and contrasting silver stitching, as well as the ubiquitous "ST" logos.
The rest of the three-door inside repeats the "civilian" model - high-quality finishing materials, a sufficient supply of free space and a 276-liter luggage compartment (with the possibility of increasing to 960 liters).
Specifications. In the engine compartment of the "charged" version of the "Fiesta" there is a 1.6-liter EcoBoost petrol "four" with a vertical layout, 16-valve timing, direct fuel supply technology and a turbocharger, producing 200 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 290 Nm of torque at 1600-5000 rpm.
In the short-term "Overboost" mode, due to the increase in boost pressure, the engine output for 20 seconds increases by another 15 "mares" and 30 Nm.
The delivery of traction to the wheels of the front axle is handled by an uncontested "manual" gearbox for six gears.
From one place to the first "hundred" Ford Fiesta ST200 "shoots" after 6.7 seconds and accelerates to a maximum of 230 km / h, and its average gas mileage does not go beyond 6.1 liters per 100 km of run in the "city / highway" mode.
Structurally, the "200" repeats the "civilian" hatchback - it is based on the B2E platform with MacPherson struts and a rear semi-independent beam, electric power steering and brake "pancakes" on all wheels (ventilated in front).
Distinctive features of the "hot" model are a modified chassis with more powerful brakes, "pointed" steering and a sports algorithm of the stabilization system.
Options and prices. In the countries of the Old World (or more precisely, in Germany), the 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 is offered to buyers at a price of 24,840 euros (~ 1.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
As a standard, the car is equipped with: four airbags, 17-inch wheel disks, front "Recaro" seats, a modern multimedia complex, one-zone "climate", ABS, EBD, ESP, an assistant for starting up the hill, an audio system, a keyless engine start, rear LED lights and many other equipment.
