Which "Mercedes" can be called "the most luxurious, expensive and elegant"? Many will answer - the flagship executive sedan "S-Class" ... but this is not entirely true, because now the model range of the German automaker has appeared a chic two-door coupe - Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe!
Its official premiere took place in March 2014 at the Geneva Motor Show.
And at the international exhibition of the auto industry in Frankfurt, held in September 2017, a restyled two-door appeared before a wide audience - which received: a slightly retouched appearance, minor interior improvements and an even wider range of progressive electronic systems ... In addition, the car was seriously "shaken up" by the range of power units and finalized the Magic Body Control hydro-spring suspension.
The "sixth" Mercedes-Benz S-class performed by the "Coupe" has a fantastically stylish appearance. Indeed, the car is very beautiful, luxurious and simply huge! Seeing him, you literally have to swallow saliva from the desire to get to know the expensive miracle of the German car industry.
The main focus at the front of the vehicle is the original and stylish, all-LED headlights. For her, Swarovski crystals are offered as an option - 47 in each headlight (of which 17 form a daytime running light strip, and 30 - direction indicators). Of course, it all looks impressive, but it has no practical significance as such. A neat false radiator grille with a large three-beam Mercedes-Benz star in the center is based between the headlights.
The profile of the two-door Mercedes-Benz S-Class shows the proportions of a classic coupé with a long bonnet, neat stern, massive wheel arches, large rims and sport mirrors with legs.

From the name it is clear that the S-Class Coupe is built on the platform of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan (W222), but on its significantly shortened version. The external dimensions of the car are as follows: length - 5027 mm, height - 1411, width - 1899 mm, wheelbase - 2945 mm.
Depending on the wishes and requests of the owner, the luxury coupe can rest on the road surface with alloy wheels with a diameter of 18, 19 or 20 inches.
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe is almost entirely borrowed from the S-class sedan, but at the same time it is perceived as richer, more exciting and sporty. One of the distinctive features of the coupé is the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a cut-off bottom, which hides the color display of the dashboard. And next to it is another color touch screen related to the multimedia system. The center console is thought out to the smallest detail, all the governing bodies are located strictly in their places - how could it be otherwise in an expensive German car.
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupé is replete with high-quality finishing materials, including natural leather and wood, as well as metal inserts. At the same time, many different color combinations and options are available to choose from. But the most important thing is that everything is assembled perfectly, as befits a car of this class!
The front seats of the luxurious German coupe provide the driver and passenger with truly royal comfort. They are not only equipped with heating, ventilation, dynamic cornering support and a bunch of electric drives, but they can also be supplemented with a massage system based on the "hot stones" principle. It is immediately clear - in such a car, the owner will not resort to the services of a hired driver, but will personally drive it!
One of the interesting functions is the automatic "hand", which obligingly feeds the seat belt, thereby preventing a person from reaching for him to the B-pillar carried back.

- Basic option - S450 4Matic, under the hood of which there is a V-shaped six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine with two turbochargers, direct fuel injection, 24 valves and phase shifters at the inlet and outlet, developing 367 horsepower at 5500-6000 rpm and 500 Nm of available torque at 1800-4500 rpm.
- The coupe is one step higher. S560 4Matic - it is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine with twin turbocharging, direct fuel system, 32-valve timing and variable valve timing, producing 469 hp. at 5250-5500 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 2000-4000 rpm.
To conquer the first "hundred" the car spends 4.6-5.6 seconds, and the maximum gains 250 km / h (this speed is electronically limited).
Its fuel consumption varies from 8 to 8.9 liters for every 100 km of run in combined mode, depending on the version.
From a constructive point of view, the Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe does not have significant differences from the four-door model - independent suspensions "in a circle" (double-lever in front and multi-link in the rear), the widest proportion of aluminum in the body structure, adaptive electromechanical power steering and ventilated disc brakes on all wheels. In the "base" the car has a pneumatic chassis, and as an option it is equipped with a hydraulic spring suspension Magic Body Control with the "Curve" function.
In the Russian market, a Mercedes-Benz S-class coupe of the 2018 model year can be bought at a price of 7,500,000 rubles - this is how much they ask for a modification of the S450 4Matic. As for the "top-end" performance, you will have to pay for it from 9 350 000 rubles.
Normally, the two-door boasts: eight airbags, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED optics, ABS, ASR, ESP, heated front seats, an air conditioner, a multimedia complex, a virtual instrument panel, a high-class audio system and other equipment.
