At the end of 2014, the Ford Corporation declassified most of the information about its new 2015 Everest frame SUV, created by Australian headquarters based on the Ford Ranger pickup truck. Having received a whole scattering of technical innovations, as many as three engines, a spacious and easily transformable interior, as well as a wide range of available equipment, the Ford Everest 3, meanwhile, did not turn into another crossover, but acquired all the necessary qualities of a full-fledged SUV, ready to storm serious off-road conditions.

Externally, the Ford Everest turned out to be a rather brutal and at the same time stylish car with well-adjusted body proportions. The developers are still silent about the dimensions of the novelty, but it is known that the ground clearance (clearance) of the Ford Everest is 225 mm. The SUV is able to easily overcome a ford up to 800 mm deep, and its entry, exit and ramp angles are 29, 25 and 21 degrees, respectively. The carrying capacity of the Ford Everest is 750 kg (up to 100 kg on the roof), in addition, the novelty is capable of pulling a trailer weighing up to 3000 kg, if, of course, it is equipped with brakes.

The cozy interior of the 2015 Ford Everest SUV can have both 5 and 7-seater configurations. The ergonomic interior of the Ford Everest features practical finishing with modern materials, well-thought-out transformation options, an easy-to-use but easy-to-use front panel, as well as a wide range of available equipment, including optional ones, such as a premium audio system or active noise cancellation system.

As for the luggage compartment, so far only its maximum capacity with folded rear seats has been declassified - 2010 liters.

Specifications. The list of power plants for the Ford Everest III includes three options of which two are diesel. The only petrol unit borrowed from the EcoBoost line and received 4 cylinders with a total displacement of 2.0 liters, multipoint fuel injection, and a turbocharging system. The list of diesel engines is opened by a representative of the Duratorq family, which has at its disposal 4 cylinders with a working volume of 2.2 liters and a turbocharging. The flagship engine also belongs to the Duratorq family, but now has 5 in-line cylinders with a combined displacement of 3.2 liters. The developers have not yet reported on the power of the motors, it is only known that it will vary depending on the sales market for the SUV. As for the gearbox, diesel engines will be aggregated both with a 6-speed manual transmission and with a 6-range "automatic", and the gasoline unit will work only in tandem with an automatic transmission.

At the heart of the 3rd generation Ford Everest SUV is a frame platform from a Ford Ranger pickup with independent front suspension based on double wishbones and a rear leaf spring suspension with a continuous axle, complemented by a Watt mechanism. The wheels of the front axle of the novelty are planned to be equipped with ventilated disc brakes, on the rear wheels, most likely, drum brakes will be used. The rack and pinion steering mechanism Ford Everest is complemented by a hydraulic booster. In some markets, the new product will be offered in a basic rear-wheel drive version, but in most countries, the Ford Everest will only receive an all-wheel drive transmission with a low gear, electronic locking of the rear axle gearbox and a Terrain Management System.

Equipment and prices. An impressive set of modern assistance systems is available for Ford Everest: ABS, EBD, BAS, ESP, hill start assist, downhill assist, trailer position monitoring, lane tracking, lane markings, active cruise control and a tracking system for "blind spots". The release of the novelty on the market is scheduled for 2015, while the appearance of the Ford Everest SUV in Russia and the prices have not been announced yet.
