The Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid is an all-wheel-drive sports premium fastback of the "full-size class" (segment "F" according to the European classification) with a petrol-electric "heart" in which the true spirit of Porsche cars and modern "hybrid technologies" fuel efficiency ...

The world premiere of the "basic" version of the second generation Porsche Panamera - "4 E-Hybrid" took place at the end of September 2016 on the stage of the Paris Motor Show, and a little more than a month later it acquired a long wheelbase version. Compared to the previous model, the five-door has changed significantly, but its main "highlight" is the power plant with the algorithm of operation based on the 918 Spyder supercar.

Well, in February 2017, the Germans declassified the "extreme" modification of their hybrid, called the Turbo S E-Hybrid.

Hybrid "Panameras" of the second generation can be calculated only by the light green brake calipers, similar in color to the inscriptions on the boot lid and the "e-hybrid" logos on the front seats, otherwise they look just as catchy, "muscular" and sporty as the models with internal combustion engine.

The "second" Porsche Panamera in the E-Hybrid version is available with both a standard and an extended wheelbase (Executive): the car extends in length by 5049-5199 mm, its height does not exceed 1423-1432 mm, and its width fits into 1937 mm ... The distance between the pairs of wheels at the five-door is 2950 or 3100 mm.

The interior of the hybrid Panamers is identified against the background of other modifications only thanks to small touches - for example, a Power-Meter indicator is placed on the dashboard, which informs the driver about recuperation and energy consumption. In general, these are all the same spectacular "apartments" with premium finishing materials and an impeccable level of assembly.

Regardless of the modification, the decoration of the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid is strictly four-seater. The luggage compartment volume for versions with a standard wheelbase varies from 405 to 1245 liters, and for the “Executive” - from 405 to 1391 liters.

Specifications. For the second "release" of the Porsche Panamera, there are two petrol-electric versions, which are equipped with an 8-speed PDK "robot" and an all-wheel drive transmission with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch:

  • Basic Panamera «4 E-Hybrid”Is set in motion by a 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine with two turbochargers, variable valve timing and valve stroke adjustment technology and direct injection, which develops 330" horses "and 450 Nm of peak torque, which is assisted by a 136-horsepower electric motor (400 Nm). Well, this chain is complemented by a lithium-ion traction battery with a capacity of 14.1 kW / h, located under the boot floor. "Combined" output of the power unit - 462 "horses" and 700 Nm of available potential.
  • Much more "extreme" option - "Turbo S E-Hybrid". Under its hood is a 4.0-liter V-shaped "eight" with two-flow Twin Scroll turbochargers, a lubrication system with separate circuits for the heads and the block, a variable displacement pump and variable valve timing, producing 550 "horses" and 770 Nm of torque. An electric motor, producing 136 "mares" and 400 Nm, and a lithium-ion battery with a volume of 14.1 kW / h, work in the storeroom with it. The total power of the hybrid drive is 680 stallions and 850 Nm.

The gasoline-electric Panamers can operate in four standard modes: Hybrid Auto - automatic determination of the source of the driving force; "E-Power" - completely "green" mode (always used for start); "E-Hold" - the maximum possible preservation of battery reserves; "E-Charge" - using the maximum capabilities of the gasoline unit to "saturate" the batteries. It boasts a five-door and "combat" algorithms "Sport" and "Sport Plus", which allow you to "squeeze" full power from the hybrid drive.

The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid breaks from zero to the first "hundred" in 4.6-4.7 seconds, and the Turbo S E-Hybrid version does this exercise in 3.4-3.5 seconds. The maximum car is capable of gaining 278-310 km / h, and in the combined cycle it "eats" no more than 2.5-2.9 liters of gasoline.
In a purely electric mode, the fastback “covers” about 50 km, but at the same time its “maximum speed” does not exceed 140 km / h. It takes about 6 hours to “fill” the batteries from a household outlet, but the “quick charger” reduces this time to 2.4 hours.

In technical terms, hybrid Panamers of the second incarnation do not differ from standard modifications: they are built on an MSB bogie with independent suspensions “in a circle” (front - “double-lever”, rear - “multi-link”) and extensive use of high-strength steels, composite materials and aluminum in the body structure. Already in the "base" the car has an air suspension, a fully-controlled chassis, a steering system with an electromechanical amplifier and powerful brakes with ventilated "pancakes" on all wheels and a whole "bouquet" of up-to-date electronics.

Options and prices. In the Russian market, the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid in 2017 is sold at a price of 7,652,000 rubles, and for the more powerful version of the Turbo S E-Hybrid they ask for at least 12,109,000 rubles (surcharge for long-wheelbase versions - 513,000 and 1,386,000 rubles respectively).
By default, the "hybrid German" demonstrates: eight airbags, LED headlights and lights, 19-inch "rollers", ESP, ABS, dual-zone "climate", premium "music" with ten speakers, an infotainment and information complex and the darkness of other equipment.
